I only plan to go as a means of protecting unarmed peaceful protesters and to try and keep things civil. My goal is for our presence to help deter police from initiating any unnecessary physical altercations.

@dookiepie I've got some radios but nothing fancy. Just walkies. And we can meet up there that way we all have individual exit strategy if shit gets completely chaotic. I'll be in my plates and high cut fast but probably won't bring my ruck. Less gear but much lighter.

I hope more people will join in, we need to show the people were not some "group of apocalyptic clansmen" (actual quote from an acquaintance there) and we support their movement to push back against tyranny.

@questionablestain solid points and I do appreciate the advice. I realize that due process is basically a thing of the past now. I've got some security measures I have taken with my phone, internet, and email by using proxies and vpn's. Not fool proof I know, but it would honestly take them a lot of work down a deep rabbit hole to trace back my online presence to it's singular source. Like I said, I have no intentions on breaking any laws, I've got a clean record, and a good head on my shoulders. Always vigilant.

Not sure if I want to bring my rifle. There's really no point if I'm not going to get much of a support team out there. I feel like carrying my rifle alone would just make me a target. I plan on asking my neighbors today if they're interested in going. 1 is a vet, the other two are guys I would trust with my life. Cant guaruntee they will be down. From the videos I've seen of Columbus I've notice a large presence of antifa. Anyone attending any of these protests needs to keep a watchful eye on any suspected antifa members. They will target us. They will try to instigate violence from the police. Likely to confront and try the same with our groups as well.
