A follow-up to my prior suggestion about a news room and thank you again for making one, too. How about another one for Op-eds? I realize that will attract some fringe cringe but opinion editorials do have some merit when written by knowledgeable sources. Since they aren't just reporting straight facts they really aren't news........

I’ve seen a lot of people “thumbs up-ing” certain messages, and just wanted to say that there is a bot called Starboard and when you “Star” a message, if it gets enough(like 4 I think) it sends it to a different channel, and displays it in said channel. Just an easy way of keeping good ideas and stuff in check.

What do you guys think about a weather watching / natural disaster watch/warning/comms channel? A national channel as well as regional channels, so north east, south east, gulf of Mexico, central, etc etc

I suggest a channel for gear, such as vests, boots, bags, etc. I've been using the Tactics room for that.

What about adding a “breaking news/urgent” channel for the absolute most important happenings. The page should be admin posting only, no reply. If someone has something going off, get it to an admin and they’ll decide if it’s breaking news. I’m muting all the channels, but if anything crazy is going on, I’d like a channel open so the absolute most important happenings pop up on my phone.

Think we should switch Urgent-Happenings with SOS.

Like, SOS should be the absolute like 100% emergencies, and Urgent should be the channel with a scale of 1-5 emergencies.

For the green boi/girl that decide to join the cause maybe a section fact based examples of things/ reading/ viewing material to bring them up to speed. Also for the uninformed/green, a section for good, better, best options in regards to gear, safety, weapon options etc (might be armory but figured id toss the idea out there)

Some way of monitoring new members for violations of opsec. A First reminder that we are not a secure place for details and such. Maybe a 10 min mute with a painfully detailed description of opsec and its application. Just a thought

We should vent individuals who can make up a refined core of specialist. Being able to show worth from experience and knowledge. So if things ever get hairy we have a chain of command. But always remember self reliance is key for the movement to live on.

We should also start venting for a QRF role.

The security guard was wrong for shooting someone because they didnt wear a mask unless it go violent on their part.

I know its no holds barred but on a deep, subconscious level, I struggle with it. I just find it hard not to blast the .357 on a mosquito sometimes.
