AFAIK, it is completely legal to open carry a firearm in your vehicle in colorado for lawful protection of self and property. Pistols and revolvers can be loaded, any other firearm MUST have nothing in the chamber. Idk about reciprocity between Utah and Colorado, you might wanna look into that if you plan on getting licensed. Lemme find a source
