I got shitted on by crypto. I lost thousands when it crashed a couple year back. Haven’t invested in it since. Economy is down. Lots of cheap stocks out there now

Just remembered, there's a mutual fund that my economics professor suggested as supposedly it consistently outperforms the S&P 500. "AMAGX"

still pretty closely matches it, though it doesn't seem to dump as hard as the rest of the stock market when things turn south. I forgot what it was, but he said something about being ran with islamic principles, specifically excluding certain types of businesses.

islamic principles also means (mostly) no interest rate on loans. or very low rates.

I cashed my 401k out a while ago. Yeah I had to pay taxes and penalty and no longer get employer matching. But I've literally doubled my return rate by re-investing everything myself. Plus I can take out the money whenever I want now without asking for permission or getting slapped with penalties and taxes. Obviously dont do this if you dont have any clue about investing.

But thats the issue isn't it. The application of force is required for taxes. I think a return to the system pre 1900 would work. Tax products. Most of the government's money was derived from the tax on alcohol before income taxes. And we did ok. Not great but we we're capable of building roads and a navy

If it comes to it, we need to set up and get organized in our cities! If we want to make ourselves heard, we need to stop rioting and hurting our businesses and hurt their (anyone in our way from getting justice) POCKETS ! Shop small businesses, we need to stop depending on the gov and major industries to get our food and services. Farmers markets my dude, but tbh some crops require a ton of processing before they are consumer ready. Especially things like wheat, then the government gets involved in oversight

The meat side of ag is really stringent, the reason there is a meat shortage is because the middle man “monopoly packing houses” are being ravaged by covid and operating at reduced capacity. This is causing a huge influx of supply on the farmers end, a huge demand on the consumer end and a shortage on the production end

But you have to have special licensing or a place to process meat yourself to bypass the packing houses, I wish they’d let off of the regs until this is over and let farmers process their own meat and sell direct but currently it’s illegal without added licensing
