I was wrong yesterday. They started way earlier than I thought they would. I was expecting peaceful protests during the day that would degenerate into rioting as it got dark

There was widespread looting going on at like 11am

I think that there is a lot of resentment and frustration between the actions of the police, affects of quarantine, and coordinated efforts by multiple organizations (BLM, BP, Black Block, Antifa) piling up. If they dont come down hard tonight and reassert control over the worst areas (Minneapolis is the top hot spot right now). Then we're going to see an expansion of unrest in more cities over the weekend.

Minneapolis police and local government 100% dropped the ball the last 3 days. They now have the attention of the Feds and will likely see a boost in manpower and supplies. How tonight goes will determine the next couple of days/weeks go.

Be careful carrying a baton. Police can and will use it as an excuse to ignore any sort of Press protections. If you want to carry one then tape a poster sign to it. Then it's there if you need it and they cant claim you "brandished a weapon".
