I'm actually curious about that one. Having been shooting literally longer than I remember, starting at 3, the smell of gunpowder and spent brass is just permanently etched into my brain. Always associated with spending quality time with my dad.

That. Is. Pure.

I always associated it with fun and explosives.

My first gun was a chipmunk .22, single shot. Idk if you'd call it bolt action or a breech loader. You'd pull a spring loaded bolt straight back, and it was intentionally too difficult for a child to do.
