Anyone hear anything about Hutchinson KS? Places are getting boarded up saying something about Friday or Saturday

Reno County Law Enforcement has been made aware of protests taking place in Hutchinson, KS on 5 June, 2020. This event is supposed to begin on North Main St. at 30th and move to the South, the duration of the event may occur throughout the weekend. We don’t anticipate anything in either direction off this path will be affected unless the protest is disrupted. However, we would encourage the public to make sure your vehicles are locked, garage doors closed when not monitored, and in low light conditions make sure yard/porch lights are on. We are currently unaware of any endorsement from any organization within the City of Hutchinson. Hutchinson Police Chief and other community leaders have met with the representative organizing the event. We have also received information a lot of protesters from out of town will be attending. This is for your information only and meant to keep you informed of activities within the community. Our intent is not to alarm anyone, but to allow any preparation needed to protect your personal property. Our focus will be to ensure the citizens and community are protected. We are aware of the change in the date posted. We will continue as scheduled to ensure the highest level of security.
