.22lr is better than nothing, but ballistically there’s better plus the reliability of the round can be in question

If you look around online you can get PD turn in Glock 22s for 275-300. They’re used, but typically barely shot because they were police issue. It’s a full size handgun, but is concealable depending on your body type. It’s also in .40 cal
