Shots fired call was due to a shot spotter. Its devices planted all over the city to listen for gunshots and get a location. They often misinterprate fireworks as gunshots.

Yeah I have some martial arts training. There’s different chokes the officer could have used to subdue him. Even make him pass out then let off so he can get air again. From the looks of it the officer put full force on his neck and sat there and dug his knee into his windpipe. My guess is it either collapsed or was broken to the point where even if he lets off he wasn’t going to breathe again. Officer made no attempt at arresting him and was only interested in blood. And now they have a riot. You get what you deserve
