Russia has quite a few gas pipelines into China that would be targets for conflicts most likely they would help China, if not just to keep the US out of the far east .

@Reno ww2 was engineered I agree but I think ww1 was more or less a clusterfuck resulting from national pissing contests that got out of hand. The monarchs of Europe all had incestuous deals and alliances that made the regional conflict all but assured to escalate. Unfortunately in their "divine" obstinance, none was able to prevent being pulled into the conflict
