I dont disagree with bringing federal rights to states, and I think the premise is true and good, but I feel the pernissions it gave to the federal level consequentially allowed for a lot of the federal overreach.

You gotta realize the doctrine broght federal rights to citizens, meaning many of the problems citizens had were now incorporsting the fed into it

I think incorporation conflicts with the 10th since it says "fed powers are fed powers and nothing more or less" and then the 14th says "fed rights are now your rights" If Im looking at this innthe right lens, that tells me a lot of the open-endedness created for states and people by the 10th is largely negated
