82nd is an Airborne Regiment, an Airborne Ranger is someone who's been through Ranger school. All Rangers are Airborne. But not all Airborne are Rangers.

The ranger in my house did 3 deployments, one of the more famous ones was the Blackhawk Down shit that went down.

Going to ranger school doesn’t make you SOF

Ranger qualifieds go to Ranger School, it's a pat on the back and looks good for your career. However, real Rangers go through RASP. They go the 75th Ranger Regiment, and get their scrolls.

If they don't have a scroll, and they weren't 75th, they weren't a real Ranger.

You can have a ranger tab, and not be a cool guy who does cool guy shit

Basically

Ranger Scroll > Ranger Tab.

Both are cool. But the Scroll is what shows that you're the real deal badass.

Ranger School, is a leadership school. It's supposed to make you a better leader and soldier. RASP trains you to be a part of the 75th.
