That said, as much as I'm against it, I'm okay with swat and certain channels having encryption...

So im looking at getting a unlocked phone for verizon, the OnePlus 7 pro. What types do I need to make sure it works on my Verizon number. Example, make sure it can recive text messages, pictures and video.

I think most phones have CDMA and GSM and LTE now right? The only issue is old/foreign phones might have different LTE bands

For example the t mobile version (if they even have their own version, might just be one version for the US?) has CDMA even though it doesn't need it

That's true and it definitely mattered a lot 8 years ago when phones were one or the other. I think now most are both. Unless it's made for a foreign gsm only country

But yeah if you find the list of bands and it has several CDMA bands like the example above it should work
