Remember the mission if you are representing CLO. The riots are no longer our fight for the most part. We can really show who we are by helping those who cannot help themselves. Medical, supplies, food/water, security/protection. This is an opportunity to make something great happen for us. I dont want to seem selfish but we do need to be selfish. We need a positive public image. We need to show people in this country that we are not a bunch of nazi, racist, white supremacy extremists, or that we are FAR RIGHT or FAR LEFT. If you are going and you plan on representing this organization, show the nation what we are all about. You will have 100% of our support as long as the right thing is being done. Thank you.

Using a saying like "know your privilege, use your privilege" to help show support if going to protests by doing things like security might be more friendly than showing up with rifles saying you're there to protect businesses. Know the audience that you'll be in.

Unless you're white and the audience thinks you're using your "white privilege"

On one hand we have gotten a lot of credit for trying to help things remain peaceful but we are still being painted wrong. Been on Twitter and boy it is a shit show. Antifa are doxxing b bois, blm is feeling unsettled about agitators, Trump and others are blaming other groups most are only calling antifa by name and very few b bois are trying to put out the flames from all sides. We are alone in this. I think we need to seriously talk to blm members and plan ahead of time. This narrative is dangerous for anyone involved that's not blm.

I've been getting mixed reports from my followers who've been attending protest in solidarity

some have been kicked out because their posters and messaging have ticked off some of the other protesters

some have been welcomed in open arms

I think we need to set some guidelines as to what type of messaging is appropriate if someone is to show up to one of these protests. A message that will best represent us and has the best likelihood of being accepted by the crowd.

I think the msm confusing is a heavily armed far right group that is against the police. Well really the laws but they haven't read that far into it.

If you plan on providing medical attention to protesters, make sure you are wearing a red cross so you can be identified as a medic. There has been issue with medics being fired upon while providing medical attention. This does not violate the Geneva Convention Article 3 or Additional Article II of 1977 unless you are wearing a red cross emblem.

Can anyone edit the wiki page? There are enough articles now to site that will take the stigma away from what's being shown. This would really be helpful

Some pro-tips I've put on my page for those looking to support the protests in person

- If a reporter asks for your name, your name is Duncan Lemp (for gals, your name is Vicki Weaver) - If you are out there providing medical support, please slap on a few Red Cross patches or decals on your helmet and gear so you can easily be identified. - Speak their language and use their language to subtly inject pro-2A messaging. The majority of them are left-leaning and will only understand leftist language. Using right-wing or libertarian talking points will not likely resonate with them. Remember, they believe these protests are about BLACK lives. Avoid saying "All Lives Matter" or projecting any similar message. Yes, police brutality affects all races, but the focus of the protests is around black Americans. The focus of the conversation is around black Americans. If you detract from that subject, your message may be interpreted as hostile to some. The key is empathy. Be subtle or sympathetic in your message. Avoid posters like "Black Guns Matter" (unless you're black) or anything that could be potentially construed as hostile or sabotaging the spirit of the protest. - Try to coordinate with any protest organizers or other armed protesters ahead of time and give them a heads up so they know to expect you and that you're not one of the instigators. - Do not wear confederate, threeper, pro-Trump, or any obvious right-wing patches or insignia on your gear.

- Use a neutral or sympathetic message on your sign or poster if you're bringing one. Confuse leftists and introduce cognitive dissonance in their minds at first sight. They're more likely to be receptive of you or question their own prejudices if you carry a "Black Lives Matter" poster rather than a Gadsden Flag. Again, use their own language to promote a pro-2A narrative. - Print or purchase, and hand out literature from left-leaning 2A groups. Contact your nearest chapter of the National African American Gun Association to see if they have business cards that you can hand out. I have a business card template for The Liberal Gun Club that I can send you if you want to custom print your own.

Look at the area before you go in person if you can or via maps if you cannot. Be aware of where you will be and what is around it. Know how to get rapidly out of the area so you can do so if needed. But using a vehicle and especially via foot. Do Cardio. If the protest is likely to get rowdy bring a helmet, even if its something as simple as a bike helmet. Your job is to act as an medic first and an ambassador always. Act and carry yourself appropriately.
