It wasnāt a hack lmao, it was always public information, someone just requested it
Message permalink: 707260969822191727
I was going to say that state made it all public

Oh the ironic bit is psa slapping a g$ rail on their shit
Message permalink: 707339649596653600
> Oh the ironic bit is psa slapping a g$ rail on their shit @Confused And the FN barrels
Message permalink: 707339772779167784
They've had fn barrels as long as I remember
Message permalink: 707340050484035665
PSA spec FN barrels that are installed improperly
Message permalink: 707345547689721856
There we go lol
Message permalink: 707346631074250784
Probably whatever fn barrels happen to be left over and didn't make spec for other brands
Message permalink: 707346760283979897
Psa is buying FN barrels outright for their more Gucci line
Message permalink: 707349830032424961
Same with their AKs
Message permalink: 707349862970032248
their ak's are decent. My beef with them is the tolerances on their ar's that lead to issues such as catastrophic failure
Message permalink: 707350788330094622
though as a distributer they're fantastic, great customer service supposedly
Message permalink: 707350846207426560
I think they are getting better, the good things like you said if you find an issue you can call them and get a replacement ez
Message permalink: 707351145647177848
I'm just sitting here counting down the paychecks until I can put together my next rifle x.x
Message permalink: 707351624263270420
I suppose I should get a wish list put together lol.
Message permalink: 707352011015848077
And I don't mean wish.com
Message permalink: 707352070591610911
If you donāt buy gear from wish you are weak
Message permalink: 707352224887603200
I'm not smart enough to be able to tell if it's in spec or not
Message permalink: 707352366747222017
when you order a solvent trap then come home to find your wife and dog murdered by some obese guy with a badge
Message permalink: 707352904687812629
Just expect what you get for the price you pay and your fine
Message permalink: 707353048351113227
Sometimes it's slightly better than the price
Message permalink: 707353090453667850
Sometimes it's worse
Message permalink: 707353109105606687
What jigs do you guys recommend?
Message permalink: 707353651651412039
I'm thinking a router jig. 5D Tactical or Easy Jig 2 or Router Jig Extreme.. ideally I'd get a GhostGunner 3 with a cheap jig, but that's way beyond my budget.
Message permalink: 707356251146944552
Again, PSA is buying barrels *made* by FN, but it is to whatever spec and QA/QC that PSA provide, so it is not the same thing as an FN M4 barrel, and it is certainly not the same thing as an FN HDSI barrel
Message permalink: 707361585030758432
@Deleted User by in spec do you mean the parts themselves are in spec, or the build you are putting together will be operable?
Message permalink: 707361804375949422
@Crye Salesman parts themselves. But operable as a whole too I suppose
Message permalink: 707370028634472551
I was gonna say the operable as a whole thing can be done with research. Inspection and spec of parts is partly trust in the company and partly verififying for yourself
Message permalink: 707376297956868116
I was saving for a PSA CHF 16 or 20in barrel rifle are they bad I thought milspec and FN barrel were good

I just got the 10 lb spool of clear PETG because the idea of making clear magazines is awesome. Coupon code FIGHTCOVID.

anyone have experience doing a form 1 suppressor build? I'm interested in looking into it, and as much as I dislike giving the government money, I kinda want a suppressor without having to wait a year.
Message permalink: 707377017946898512
or is it just better to buy a manufactured one and wait?
Message permalink: 707377364736147536
@[TX]YimYam theyāre definitely not great. The biggest problem is that they donāt really QA/QC stuff, so you might get a gun with a completely mis-aligned gas block, etc. the parts individually are still āmehā, but at least assembled right itāll they should work for a bit
Message permalink: 707382911611043900
I mean whatās better for about $650? If thereās a QC issue you can send it back to be fixed right? Just run it really hard and find the issues.
Message permalink: 707383975202783272
Yes, PSA, at least says that they will fix it. But you donāt want to find one of those issues at the critical moment. I will personally help you hunt down a bargain so you can have a more duty grade rifle
Message permalink: 707386041048236152
By bargain you mean buying piece by piece? I donāt have a vice and the tools needed to build one
Message permalink: 707387834725826651
A pipe wrench and some elbow grease is all you need
Message permalink: 707388193699397663
That is just incredibly wrong. Although that is actually how BCA does it. And no, I meant buying a used upper/lower or rifle
Message permalink: 707392568534499358
Used seems like a bad idea tho if something wrong no warranty at all
Message permalink: 707394086130155563
Idk maybe Iām wrong idk a ton about ARs but still@
Message permalink: 707394176098238488
Depends on the original company that built it
Message permalink: 707396164089020468
Well im not confortable with used. Would a store bought Ruger AR5.56 or S&W be better they are around the same price point
Message permalink: 707402595932569610
I donāt know off the top of my head which of those brands has the best track record, I would suspect S&W, but there might be some SOTAR info on it
Message permalink: 707404334761115679
ruger doesn't exactly have the best track record when it comes to centerfire handguns or ar's. S&W makes good handguns but idk about their ar. Jerry Michulek uses one with basically all the parts replaced
Message permalink: 707404720636952616
MP II is considered the best off the shelf budget AR I thought
Message permalink: 707405043149701130
I tend to stick with what I know is proven, so as far as budget goes, I typically recommend aero precision
Message permalink: 707405245957013506
The upper cost the price of the complete guns I was just talking about
Message permalink: 707405884594192444
I'm a dad college stuident and a husband My wife and I carry glocks and have good holsters and traiining it's hard to spend alot of money on an AR
Message permalink: 707406157035077713
Budget imo is bottom tier dollar but functional, so above chinese no name parts but not above PSA or anderson
Message permalink: 707406272370049074
Aero would be imo the best entry level
Message permalink: 707406343908229141
I built mine, used a SAA upper, toolcraft BCG, ballistic advantage barrel, then anderson lower
Message permalink: 707406556731277394
So like a hodgepodge of entry and budget shit
Message permalink: 707406654001643541
budget is a tad above psa and anderson. Those two are just to be avoided at all costs except for psa's ak's
Message permalink: 707406677821095966
Idk, run a go/no go gauge and inspect rifle
Message permalink: 707406797321011222
Iāve had 3-4ish thousand rounds between two PSA rifles with zero issues
Message permalink: 707406904833605683
what?
Message permalink: 707406906825768971
But personal anecdotes and such
Message permalink: 707407018365026397
See some say PSA is trash others say what you said
Message permalink: 707407046278119494
and the SW and Ruger are not milspec
Message permalink: 707407108080926791
The shit 10.5ā PSA freedom upper ate 1.5k with my fostech echo
Message permalink: 707407134081548330
BIL has a ruger and he likes it but idk how much he actually shoots
Message permalink: 707407250448318507
thankfully with tolerances you usually know it won't work pretty quickly, because the parts don't fit. Otherwise you know when it has a catastrophic failure and destroys expensive parts and / or your face
Message permalink: 707407256655757373
I want the CHF best one I think
Message permalink: 707407272535392266
You can always find someone selling uppers too on gunbroker
Message permalink: 707407398918291586
Iām in the camp of get the best that you can afford
Message permalink: 707407462780895253
If you want better than PSA or anderson but canāt eat the cash save up and buy the parts and put them together
Message permalink: 707407585057308762
Or have someone else put them together, 10 bucks says you know someone who can put an AR together correctly
Message permalink: 707407755886985248
Yeah that's what I did. I work two jobs making barely above minimum wage. I don't want a weapon that my life may depend upon to end up getting me killed when it OOB's
Message permalink: 707407918978433115
just kinda bought one part a month
Message permalink: 707408053062074439
Other thing is if you intend on using a gun for defense go shoot the piss out of it
Message permalink: 707408058921385985
Main reason my PSAs got shot so much was because āgod forbid I have to use it I need to know it worksā
Message permalink: 707408200168767528
I donāt even care to shoot ARs
Message permalink: 707408231676248104
Well that was until I bought the echo
Message permalink: 707408308197130262
Thatāll make you poor fast
Message permalink: 707408471905140836
if I ever end up in a situation when I have to defend myself, it'll likely be with a pistol at least
Message permalink: 707408477013803089
Depends on why I get to first tbh
Message permalink: 707408598321463348
9/10 itās the pistol
