I’m just gonna carry a CIWS then
Message permalink: 707414831870771232
I think my state only allows up to a 45. Constitutional carry at least
Message permalink: 707414959298183169
Real talk has anyone seen a case where a guy had to defend himself using RIP rounds yet
Message permalink: 707415005569482752
Carry a .45-70 then
Message permalink: 707415024896835626
I’d hate to watch someone do that
Message permalink: 707415064981930014
rip rounds: don't

however there's a shotgun slug version that looks nasty
Message permalink: 707415167117426778
But I want someone to have used them to set a precedent in court
Message permalink: 707415207768489989
Because imo I can’t see anyway your not getting the long shaft of the law having to defend RIP rounds in court
Message permalink: 707415391244386354
I'd worry about the prosecutor turning to the jury and being like, see this wicked thing? It just screams intent to wound. They wanted to go out and hurt someone.
Message permalink: 707415492339433533
Forgive my ignorance, what's bad about RIPs?
Message permalink: 707415532793626668
they wound but don't kill
Message permalink: 707415567916859493
the goal is to create as large of a wound cavity as possible to stop the target, but rip rounds fragment so much that they're incapable of, as cringe as it sounds, "stopping power"
Message permalink: 707415768119377971
something like federal HST or speer gold dot that expands dramatically without fragmenting too much is what you want, because handgun rounds don't travel fast enough to cavitate like rifle rounds

Anyone recommend any plate carrier brands or specific carriers?
Message permalink: 707447827441385505
Depends on your budget/mission. If budget isn't an issue, well anything Crye or Spiritus systems. If you are on the budget side, some Condors are okay, just know that their stitching sometimes has fail points. But with a $5 sewing kit you can reinforce said areas.
Message permalink: 707448406100148298
Of course, you get what you pay for, but depending on what you need, there are happy mediums.
Message permalink: 707448486701957161
Max I can do rn is about 150
Message permalink: 707448618189062205
I had to sew my condor and Rothco stuff over and over. My slickster will be here tomorrow
Message permalink: 707448693477081169
Get a slickster. They're like $160 shipped
Message permalink: 707448802851684352
I'm gonna look them up! Thanks
Message permalink: 707448850885115954
Yeah, slicksters from what I heard are good, overall they're good. But sometimes the QC for their fits might be a little off?
Message permalink: 707448984012193792
In all honesty though, I might get one myself if I don't get a LV119
Message permalink: 707449192100135054
Is it just a plate carrier with no Molle design? And you get add-ons to it?
Message permalink: 707449516927877251
Message permalink: 707449534963515475
I want one that has it on both sides, and overall cost about 150 A bit over is fine, under us even better
Message permalink: 707450143145721867
Shellback Tactical has the Patriot plate carrier, as well as the Skirmish.
Message permalink: 707450691135995946
They’ve got MOLLE on each side, the front, and back.
Message permalink: 707450794705813536
Ahh, you want like a full on normal PC
Message permalink: 707450940684501045
Ummm, lemme check to see what I can find in your budget, roughly.

I was about to recommend the Shellback Banshee, then I remember it's 250 haha
Message permalink: 707451431199834113
I’m looking at the Skirmish.
Message permalink: 707451561923706980
What yall thunk? I looked at the patriot but didn't have multicam, here it can be very green or very dry
Message permalink: 707451647994888263
I'd say any browns or darker greens can work, because they're both natural colors. Just don't do black or grey.
Message permalink: 707451856015851541
Go to the Shellback website and look at them. More pictures.

That Gucci hanger tho
Message permalink: 707452693907636244
Doesn't seem like a bad deal in all honesty. If it fits what you need it to do.
Message permalink: 707452987249000470
Shellback is a decently reputable brand, and I’m not knocking them. I’m just saying used JPC’s go for $200 all day
Message permalink: 707453277218013295
That’s true.
Message permalink: 707454615423287630
I got it, and also ordered plates, said they ship in 24hrs
Message permalink: 707455040125796372
JPCs might not fit what he wants exactly though. they're more lightweight and sport a different cumberbund.
Message permalink: 707455143955791912
I hear the SBTs are good on smaller frames guys. Is that true?
Message permalink: 707456890983940177
I’m about 5’9” and I weigh something like 140 soaking wet.
Message permalink: 707456979760578601
Haven't heard anything on how they fit certain frames. But that's all about the size and cumberbund.
Message permalink: 707457069191528549
But sounds like you should still fit in a medium.
Message permalink: 707457125785534495
Legally I'm 5'10 Damn government doesn't realize I'm 5'11 trying to act 6'
Message permalink: 707457126439583785
If that isn't oppression idk what is
Message permalink: 707457157703925824
Well I need to know the answer to that as well cause I’m 5’6 maybe 120

Anyone got an opinion on the best lpvo in the 400-600 dollar range?
Message permalink: 707601119454691439
I want to get rid of one of my ar's and use the money for upgrades. Yes, I am a dirty smelly poor.
Message permalink: 707601231492677722
Pretty low end for lpvo's but I'd probably suggest the vortex strike eagle 1-6 Just don't go banging it around Another option is to get a good red dot like aimpoint, then save up for a good flip magnifier like an aimpoint 3x or 6x on a larue mount. You'll get much higher quality that way

what about a steiner p4xi? Worth it to upgrade from the 1-6 strike eagle?
Message permalink: 707609937836113932
otherwise I might go with a magnifier and red dot. Too much to pick from...
Message permalink: 707610077204316182
@squidsoup0 trijicon makes amazing LVPOs. But a primary arms would be easier on the wallet. Not knocking the strike eagle for what it is I have one on my PTR91
Message permalink: 707611154675007509
Wtf is even going on with that thing 😂
