Really?
Message permalink: 706600906145136641
It would be easy in winter here. Summer not so much.
Message permalink: 706600958297112698
Is there more than that...?
Message permalink: 706600983760863252
I know JPC, the small boi, APC, middle, and Ciras is like the thicc big one
Message permalink: 706601084310781952
Mine will conceal with lower vis plates san slick with just mags in the cummbund. Lvl4s make it a lil on the thick side.
Message permalink: 706601115864793099
There is a lot more than that @Abe Clark
Message permalink: 706601206742777926
Tons of fucking options bro
Message permalink: 706601263227207690
Oh
Message permalink: 706601297415110667
Well then
Message permalink: 706601311323422790
Gotta literally think every situation you plan to be in an some not thru an play all your gear out to try an get whats half ass necessary
Message permalink: 706601425597104219
Spent months looking into shit an war gamming before i spent anything.
Message permalink: 706601561240895608
The top options, depending on mission, IMO, are Crye LV-MBAV, JPC, or AVS First Spear Strandhogg, maritime assaulters, and low vis Spiritus LV-119 Velocity Scarab Ferro FCPC V5
Message permalink: 706601564986540132
Ferro has one very similar to the lv119
Message permalink: 706601656455790692
I always plan for worst outcome. But that's just me
Message permalink: 706601681357635584
An i wanna say ferro an skd made a advanced slickester
Message permalink: 706601726232494170

Message permalink: 706601746377474048
@[CO] Ghost i tried to plan fo multiple scenarios an wanted to beable to scale up easily or down when needed.
Message permalink: 706601881752961045
Planning for the worst outcome doesnāt help if it compromises your best outcome
Message permalink: 706601904423043102
True
Message permalink: 706602003647823932
Can also stuff my 7.5 an placard in my back pack an be prett well ready to get loud quickly. Since my placard interfaces with my edc bag straps nicely
Message permalink: 706602196657111040
What kind of role do you guys still need? I haven't picked a role yet.
Message permalink: 706602379327569960
Thatās a good capability @_Kilo_. We had a mission requirement that was similar, to the point that the MP5 was *too big* to fit in the bags. (We didnāt have Kās, they would have fit)
Message permalink: 706602674900041768
Yeah built my 7.5 blkout specifically for the requirements to fit in my edc bag. Stay low vis till its time not to
Message permalink: 706602993511825458
Yup, I have a 6ā one with a LAW folder for that requirement
Message permalink: 706603094791815198

Message permalink: 706610354175606856
Depends how much coin?
Message permalink: 706610786981904414
Dropped the idea on cf barrels. There's just not enough data on durability and having vent holes sounds like it'd take away from the particular strength cf has due to woven fibers. Still kicking around various ideas though, at least just for the fun of it. While i live in an urban area, my state is almost completely comprised of rolling plains, some forests, and some small mountains. Very very open outside of cities.
Message permalink: 706611750208012289
Thatās probably wise
Message permalink: 706611870391337033
Sorta thinking about large frame rifles at the moment. My 16" ar will hit a dinner plate as far as the round holds supersonic speeds
Message permalink: 706612090236043374
There seems to be tons of fancy calibers but right now I'm thinking maybe 308 because it's available and my dad has hand loading equipment he said I could use when i visit
Message permalink: 706612478716674129
I figured if I ever do a battle rifle, I'd go with .308 for the same reasons as far as ammo availability.
Message permalink: 706612679007010899
$400
Message permalink: 706612744492679189
Nah
Message permalink: 706612857017598059
Outside of the city, we've got a ton of areas where you can see until the earth's curvature as long as you're on one of the hills. I've got a lot to learn about that though. Never bothered shooting past 600 yards before
Message permalink: 706613139919077457
Howās the wind out there?
Message permalink: 706613280579518524
Infamously strong. A commercial about Oklahoma comes to mind where they show a fire hydrant in front of a wheat field with the chain dangling sideways
Message permalink: 706613738676944986
Sheesh, yeah, you might want .308 or 6.5 creed
Message permalink: 706613840934076457
@magpie_(3inch) get a XPS2-0 for 400
Message permalink: 706614499876012073
It kinda depends. The state average is 15-20 mph but it goes way over that decently often. At least it's known so much for being windy that it's mentioned in the state song
Message permalink: 706614727148568696
I'm annoyed, was gonna get the LV-119, but Spiritus has sold out of all of them.
Message permalink: 706616654083260416
They're almost always sold out. You just kinda have to keep an eye out. Trex arms also carries them, typically pre built instead of a la carte
Message permalink: 706618071523131463
@Sparrow I might have a spare one....š
Message permalink: 706618497194786848
Well shit bud... the covert?
Message permalink: 706618545626415145
Yessir
Message permalink: 706618567516225576
Oooo... well, how much are you wanting for it?
Message permalink: 706618617411797032
$250
Message permalink: 706618691583868938
Itās coyote, medium
Message permalink: 706618727315275947
Okay, I'm cool with the color and size. Which cumberbund, or what setup is it?
Message permalink: 706618851550429265
Because a front and back only cost 150 together normally.
Message permalink: 706618902410559538
Maybe my math was off, I literally just pulled that number off the top of my head of what I thought I paid for it
Message permalink: 706618990579023903
Advanced elastic cummerbund
Message permalink: 706619024167141407
Message permalink: 706619179335155712
These ones?
Message permalink: 706619192421384222
And my bad, it would actually be 160 brand new for the front and back.
Message permalink: 706619315654230157
Not 140
Message permalink: 706619326429397033
Yee, those ones
Message permalink: 706619344830070806
Those, brand new go for 70
Message permalink: 706619380234190881
So they go 230 brand new...
Message permalink: 706619419627094098
Okay yup, plus 20 for shoulder covers, so 250 brand new, damn Iām good š
Message permalink: 706619578188300299
Actually, 16 for shoulder covers š
Message permalink: 706619680198099045
Hahaha

Message permalink: 706619875187097624

Message permalink: 706619907550347304
How about 220 shipped next Saturday
Message permalink: 706619957588262973
I should've known, you always go with the expensive shit.
Message permalink: 706619971471409212
Both 308 and 6.5 are looking pretty good. I'm a bit torn as the 6.5 seems to perform a bit better but the 308 has a bit more support and better barrel life
Message permalink: 706620082658476052
220 sounds fair. How used is it? Haha, wanna make sure I'm not getting a carrier tattered with holes.
Message permalink: 706620195694968833
Oh nah, itās been on a few ruck runs and to the range probably a half dozen times as an instructor/pso
Message permalink: 706620757798813700
Let me get that helm
Message permalink: 706621042499518486
Alright, normal wear and tear, but nothing too much. 220 include shipping?
Message permalink: 706621114826227815
If you include the shipping, deal.
Message permalink: 706621176016797737
that's actually a good idea for hanging a carrier
Message permalink: 706624727568875541
might have to d that this coming weekend
Message permalink: 706624976244965438
Itās maybe 36ā of pvc, real easy
Message permalink: 706625198878621747
cant remember what it's ccalled, purple liquid, meant to basically glue pvc together
Message permalink: 706625328336076800
and a rattleccan paint job
Message permalink: 706625419734024234
@Crye Salesman im assuming a 4 way junction to kepp the helmet from falling?
Message permalink: 706625818641694790
just realized it's called a cross-tee
Message permalink: 706627497357213716
I think its called PVC cement
Message permalink: 706628071155040336
Talked with another friend who lives where I do and they think 6.5 might be the way to go for me
Message permalink: 706628073788932117
Do yourself a favor and buy PVC cutters, makes it easy af to cut
Message permalink: 706628220015083550
I normally just use a saw. But cutters are good if you plan on doing a lot
Message permalink: 706629854660919366
Having cut a lot of pvc, the cutters are definitely a good investment. They're cheap too.
Message permalink: 706630648365842503
10 bucks doesn't sound too bad for cutters
Message permalink: 706631111341768784
@Crye Salesman what are you using the chem lights for?
Message permalink: 706637384896348293
This isnāt something I typically do, but Iām lost. I donāt normally ask for help because I know quite a bit about gear. But Iām trying to decide whether I should invest into a better PC (Iām running Condor) or get my medical backpack squared away.
Message permalink: 706639019752292583
> @Crye Salesman what are you using the chem lights for? @Ballsdini Marking doorways, rooms that are cleared or not, casualty marking, thereās a variety of uses depending on your units SOPs.
Message permalink: 706639058813714536
@[LA] Zoomer Medi/k/ I suspect that's what they're for but there are other applications that require large chem lights. Blue Force Gear makes a mag-sized small chem light dispenser that holds a bunch of tiny ones. You just flick them off the top like unloading a mag. Much more compact, lighter, can carry way more, and aren't nearly as conspicuous. Let me find the link...
