Or I’m going to be carrying my entire load (Alice pack) in which case I will have the armor in the pack while moving, then drop gear, kit up, then operate

That's why I also have extra bladders, so I can just stuff a bladder into a day pack or 3-day

I only ever bought one because fuck military issued camelbaks, and also... because apparently I need to have one.

I like to have a storage spot on my PC and bag, so I can take the bladder and hose and move it from PC to bag if need be

So if I'm gonna be forced to have one, may as well get a nice-ish one

I generally just drink from my nalgene

Nalgenes are all you need

But if you’re on the move the camelback is REALLY fucking nice

I don't have one. Always hear good things about them though

I like Streamlight myself.

Surefire still tends to be top dog I guess, but Streamlight is one of my favorites.

I've got a streamlight and like it. Takes cr123's which are easy to find and it's robust for the price.

I guess i might say streamlight is the aero precision of lights. Affordable and works well. Idk what their mounts are like though, I've got an arisaka mount on mine.
