I currently have Streamlight on both, and two Streamlight pocket lights.

There’s reportedly some sort of issue with some of the Streamlight rifle lights involving the cables, but the pistol lights are solid.

I haven’t had any problems with my 1000 lumen streamlight on my AR. But I prefer to use my thumb on the tail cap instead of a pressure pad for my white light because hate wires

I feel that, I absolutely prefer the pads

Also with pistols, there's really only two choices they make holsters for. Streamlight TLR1 and Surefire x300u

Not sure where else to post this, but I Just wanted to give a shout out to shocktec. They are a gel padding company, and so far I am really happy with them. I used their lightweight gel to make some trauma pads to run behind my plate carrier. I'm going to make some insoles, and knee pad inserts with what material I have left. I talked to the owner last week, he's cool as fuck, hooked me up with some of their higher grade gel as free samples. It's pretty dope, lots of testing data posted on their website showing how effective it is for absorbing blunt trauma. I know the company has some millitary contracts as well. Check them out if you wanted some good trauma padding.

they may not be able to get literally run over and survive like a surefire but for $115 you get a well-built rifle light. Pro-Tac X is the one i've got

I was curious @Crye Salesman I know basically nothing about glocks, but I'm wanting to put one together. My thought was just an x300u, sro, and maybe a striker control device since I've seen a few people who I trust on other firearm stuff recommend them. Are things like aftermarket slides and stippling worth it or is it better stock?

How much cheaper is the sro than the rmr? I’ve heard it’s great but not as durable

All I know is you can’t mount the SRO on an ACOG with a fiber optic

Interesting. Is the sro just not durable? All I've ever heard is that it's easier to acquire a dot with. With rmr, battery vs dual? I like the idea of it always being on and at the right brightness but idk what the drawbacks are

I like the dual illumination on my accupoint but idk if that's comparable

Also weighing the pros and cons of different models. The light has me thinking about the g34

SRO is substantially more fragile than the RMR. Battery operated. Dual illuminated doesn’t work for EDC

Did some reading and it sounds like people really like the g34 for competition. The added weight apparently makes it really smooth shooting

They all say they feel like they're shooting slower but the shot timer says they're shooting faster
