about 100 more fps and maaaaaybe slightly smoother shooting. Jim Hodge just decided to pick 12.5 because that's the shortest he thought AR's could be reliable

I didnt want to go 10.5 for just that reason worrying about reliability

The receivers fit very well together. I don't have my pins yet, but from test fitting there's just the absolutely tiniest bit of wobble, which the screw in the lower will tighten up

I’ll always love the noveske flared magwell

I test fit a magpul mag and it's so nice. The mag release is awesome too. Didn't realize how much better a slightly curved button would feel

All the parts in my lower are mil-spec, just an upgraded spring set and polished trigger.

I don’t think anybody should run a muzzle break on a weapon to be used with a team or in CQB

The concussion will disorientate you, and if you’re firing on line will effectively take the guy to your left and right out of the fight

In my group I made it a rule that you can only run a break on a long gun

That's why I run flash hiders or my other weapons.

But honestly, that muzzle break isn't the worse. It's a break/hider combo.

Last range day I was prone and 12’ away from the nearest guy he was running an 11” with a muzzle break and he was standing, the concussion still fucked me up a bit

But that's my ideal rifle to put a can on.

I used to have a PTR91 with an M4-72 brake on it. Very loud, but in a brake shootout done by thetruthaboutguns, out of 24 brakes, came out on top. I showed it to my dad and I kept on having to tell him to get away from the side of it before shooting
