But... apparently PVS has a better housing?

So it appears that they each have their pros and cons

You can mount PVS-14s to you weapon, or to a J-arm.

You can use it on a rifle or for personal use, if that's what you're looking for.

You're always going to sacrifice some clarity and such when it comes to night ops. But from what I've read and heard, it should still be reasonable and effective.
