Since attempting jury nullification would most likely result in a hung jury, and subsequently a mistrial, I wonder what the odds are of the presecuting attorney attempting a retrial on the defendant. I imagine not getting a conviction would be discouraging regardless of their ability to try again with the same charges.

The harder and longer a defense can make getting that conviction will determine retrial, barring outside or extraordinary circumstances. So it boils down to how much of a dick the DA is
