I've seen much worse looking guns after taking a normal 300. That one looks like it held up pretty well

you *can* put a .50 bmg into the chamber of a 12 gauge shotgun

you won't have a shotgun after that, but who knows

It won't blow up a good quality 12ga, the bullet is narrow enough that all the gas vents around it as it leaves the barrel

You can do the same thing with 308 or 243 in a 410 shotgun

No, after digging I've only heard negatives things about them, they don't self lubricate very well and they don't retain lubricant well

I run a standard Anderson BCG, yes, so far it's been fine

With BCGs either get a TiN or a standard Nitride finish, a lot of it seems to be purely gimic

Ive seen guys make their own kits. Just a pneumatic cylinder and a small dotter board to keep everything in sync

There's tons of different bcg finishes Black nitride is very smooth and tough Phosphate is like nitride for poors (jk) milspec, tough, kinda rough but holds oil well. Also requires more oil though. Nickel boron is super slick but you've gotta constantly lube it so it's not great for large volumes of fire Titanium nitride, oooh pretty gold Chrome, OG stoner spec. Very smooth and tough, but rare to find. Supposedly it peels after a while. Only one I know of is KAC.

With ARs, it's a beautiful balancing act. And the middle tends to give best results.

Unless you're building a competition AR, then it changes a little.

Should still clean and lube it often. Don't slather the whole thing though, there's only certain parts that need lube

Yeah, im not a huge fan of the ar platform but i see the need for it as a useful platform. So im mostly going for reliability

When built right, it's very reliable, accurate, and ergonomic. I actually didn't realize just how ergonomic it was until i started trying other guns

I grew up on a 700 bolt action, so thats my preferred platform. But i can see why people fall in love with em

Id bet my life on any of my bolt guns, not so much on my ar
