They have rotating 5% categories like PayPal target and amazon and offer a 0% intro offer. If you end up seeing a card you like wether it be from amex chase Wells Fargo etc it’s always worth asking around if a groyper can refer you as it’ll net them $50-$100

I started with a “discover IT” card. 1% cash back plus 5% rotating categories. Cash back is doubled (matched) for your first year which gives you 2% on general spend and 10% on those rotating categories which is great. If you browse amazon sometimes an offer pops up there for $50 cash back offer when you sign up. If you indicate on your credit application that you are enrolled in college you will be eligible to apply for the good grades reward of $20 per semester or year (I forgot) you keep a gpa over 3.0 it’ll pop up once or twice a year on the discover website. They don’t ask for proof but a 3.0 isn’t hard to get either

It’s a self certification question and if you answer yes it’ll post a credit to your balance within 1-2 days

As usual read through whatever offer you click on to make sure nothing has changed before you sign up for the card

End of billing cycle with the matched part rewarded to you around the one year mark

So 1% back at end of cycle the matched 1% takes one year from sign up. Same for the 5% categories. It’ll build up as a lump sum basically
