Iā€™m eh about pistons. There arenā€™t too many proven platforms for the civilian world to build. Yes, there are many battle proven piston guns, but quite a few of those run a pretty price tag. A well maintained DI AR should perform just as well.

Most countries went with pistons because iirc they deemed DI as a weak link not because of dependability but AR gas tubes tended to melt before piston guns will
