They had them on rainier for 2k to 2.5k they looked real slick. I've got a cop friend up north thats surprisingly hardcore 2A and he sends me all of gear specs and shit so I'm currently getting some dreams shattered 🤣
Message permalink: 709938377918513165
Anyway it's pretty much down to your environment now. If you've got decently open spaces like a rural area, 16 or even 18, if you've got more of an urban setting, maybe shorter like 11.5
Message permalink: 709938434437021718
Kac sr25's supposedly have reliability issues
Message permalink: 709938526535549038
We are wide open up here in carbon county. Mountain terrain etc..
Message permalink: 709938559221497886
Thats 18 territory
Message permalink: 709938611138854944
20 if you’re a crack shot and can carry weight
Message permalink: 709938658911846441
Carbon co WY?
Message permalink: 709938757612077167
I'm in tight quarters. Don't want a damn stamp though.

Message permalink: 709938784761938010
Not too much of a weight difference though not many people make 20
Message permalink: 709938803355287583
Pistol build
Message permalink: 709938897601429524
I wouldn't go 20 unless you're gonna be a designated marksman or something
Message permalink: 709938956514492497
Definitely want to run good heavy ammo for both close and long range. It just works better
Message permalink: 709938996150665317
That’s why I’m going 20
Message permalink: 709939001804455947
Damn..was gonna say I know good people up there..ways off from you though

I want a Block 2 CQBR
Message permalink: 709939088173695036
Seriously, barrier blind soft points are the best overall ammo imo
Message permalink: 709939119794683934
The 16 would work just fine like I said its anywhere from country to downtown Charleston around me, weight isn't a huge deal. As long as its not unreasonable
Message permalink: 709939139373563995
My buddy has a nice ar pistol with an RMR short barrel.. when I SOT we are gonna build him a nice SBR
Message permalink: 709939142947242056
And in data’s opinion
Message permalink: 709939146159947831
If you're building, you can even get up to 24-26" competition barrels but i wouldn't recommend it. Super heavy
Message permalink: 709939215877668906
Nah, after 20 it’s not really worth it
Message permalink: 709939268411195454
Unless you change caliber
Message permalink: 709939289542361161
I’m getting a 20 inch 6.5 grendel for my DMR rig
Message permalink: 709939349604663327
Your right! Weight is key, I'm a 762x51 kinda guy myself
Message permalink: 709939352280498238
People who run those 24" barrels roll their own ammo formulated specifically for their barrel
Message permalink: 709939420047868004
Nothing wrong with that, I just don’t trust many Ar10s
Message permalink: 709939438096089138
I’d trust an FAL or G3 if you don’t reload tho
Message permalink: 709939486573985792
I'm looking at century's C308s
Message permalink: 709939588399104042
Aero precision is actually the go to for building competition ar10's. They'll use the receivers then stick something like a compass lake engineering Krieger barrel on
Message permalink: 709939644917350481
Wouldn’t reccomend for duty use but they’re decent range guns
Message permalink: 709939665465114666
Also century is garbage
Message permalink: 709939681659322388
Century imports god
Message permalink: 709939717340266528
Good
Message permalink: 709939726118813809
Built by century equals no
Message permalink: 709939753453224027
Never fired a rifle larger than .22LR 🤷‍♂️ so I wouldn't know what round I'd feel like having.
Message permalink: 709939776954040461
The PTR91 is infinitely superior to the c308

Had one for a while, super fun, indestructible, and will make you look like a left handed incel with how heavy the charging handle is

Message permalink: 709940287451037767
Get stronk after a while
Message permalink: 709940295021756416
@Deleted User standard AR-15 calibers aren't a big shock, now when you get into .308 and such is where the fun begins
Message permalink: 709940433597366322
Once you get up into 308, things get a little interesting. You have to pay a pretty penny if you want both reliability and accuracy in an auto loading 308
Message permalink: 709940575834734621
Check this out, Retail vs dealer pricing
Message permalink: 709940832861552691
Jeez
Message permalink: 709940873604890724
FAL is nice and will shoot around 2moa give or take but you can't get a good clone, only built from parts. G3 is fun though a bit dated. Can expect 1-1.5moa, or pay a bit to have it modified into a 16 pound monster that shoots 0.5moa. M1a should be avoided at all costs. Books could be written on the problems it has, and if you sneeze too hard around it, you can expect 8moa.

@BigRed1 any plans to connect with Polymer 80 someday and retail their 80% glocks?
Message permalink: 709941534430068736
@Deleted User eventually...
Message permalink: 709941697404076034
Heres a range toy
Message permalink: 709941829214273619
Speaking of which.. I wonder when the patent on gen 4 Glocks expires so people can make clones.
Message permalink: 709941873300602981
Also when it comes to 308, getting sub moa typically involves spending like 2.5k+ or going with a bolt action
Message permalink: 709941923653222413
@Deleted User sending them an email now, to become a dealer. They are out of stock though atm.

Interesting how supposedly they went back to bolt guns because of reliability issues with the SR25
Message permalink: 709943579740733561
Anyone have any good recommendations for direct business, like polymer 80?
