Does it come in mlok?
Message permalink: 714577380127277166
@Confused if i remember correct they did a test with the zev rails and it took 800 pounds to finally get the rail to start separating
Message permalink: 714577452743000084
Pretty sure Zev makes the rails Triarc uses
Message permalink: 714577600244351141
Those receivers fit together beautifully and tightly @Confused
Message permalink: 714577888925450321
From what I understand, Hodge invented the mount system and a bunch of other companies copied it. Triarc has a rail using a similar mounting system but a different rail design
Message permalink: 714577974363684915
Zev makes the hodge rails. Only difference is that the hodge ones are made of 7075-T6 aluminum and Zev uses 6061. Also a couple design differences apparently.
Message permalink: 714578436357619752
after they came out, everyone and their dog started using the wedge lock technology though
Message permalink: 714578535620280320
That sounds about right all around
Message permalink: 714578559150194810
They also have an anti rotation pin that slots into a hole drilled in Hodge and Zev upper receivers. It appears the noveske gen 3 upper has the same hole but idk if it lines up the same

Read some testing showing that the zev rail has less deflection than the g$ mk18 rail. When placing a 15 pound weight at 10" from the receiver face, repeatedly, showed an extremely consistent shift of 5moa
Message permalink: 714586879223267329
while the mk18 was 5.5 and not as consistent
Message permalink: 714587036975235124
Curious why they chose the Mk18
Message permalink: 714588299171463208
Also do you run lasers?

Hopefully some day
Message permalink: 714589727289901118
Gotcha
Message permalink: 714590267050688512
also I got that wrong, they picked the mk16
Message permalink: 714590332557459476
they tested the mk16, zev wedge lock, and bcm mcmr based on word of mouth from people in forums saying X is strongest rail
Message permalink: 714590448634560562
🙄 well, they purposely made the Mk16 *less* strong at the request of socom/usasoc to make a lighter rifle. It wasn’t designed to do that
Message permalink: 714592471216291841
Most people on internet forums probably don't know that. They just think newest geissele urgi rail that's super expensive must be strongest
Message permalink: 714593813129068574
Yes haha. Arfcom has to be...filtered haha
Message permalink: 714602680475189262
I actually have a mk14 on my other one and it's a fantastic rail. My only issue, which is really nitpicking, is that the set screw tabs that center it on the upper seem a bit inelegant compared to the rest of the rail. Idk what it is about it but it just feels like a half assed way of aligning a rail that nice.
Message permalink: 714606830147600465
It works though
Message permalink: 714606899546554469
Yeah, I reckon they did that because people will throw them on all kinds of receivers
Message permalink: 714623412613415005
Ah fuck I can't find it. I saw someone in a forum mention how they had a psa upper on a kac lower and I blacked out in a fit of rage and confusion
Message permalink: 714657934860222505
Message permalink: 714665449450897469
That just gave me an idea

Oof. When someone shows their cracked Anderson bcg in their noveske upper and it makes noveske look bad
Message permalink: 714667267031433328
It's rough if you go that route. The interest adds up

That's only the second time I've ever heard of a discord server getting shut down
Message permalink: 714670081488977920
The first was count dankula's server for posting scat in the general channel
Message permalink: 714670175001116732
granted they got their server back by making people click a react to agree to the rules like this server, but one of the rules is that they understand there's scat in general
Message permalink: 714670578828574742
Damn. What kind of stuff were they posting?

https://ferroconcepts.com/products/the-slickster vs https://www.trex-arms.com/store/Spiritus-Systems-LV119-OVERT-Plate-Carrier/
Message permalink: 714674251524866130
Spiritus
Message permalink: 714690339700604978
reasons why? just curious
Message permalink: 714693965495926807
Slickster is good but spiritus is higher quality and more modular. You can tailor it to be whatever you want as long as it's minimalist. The slickster is good if you need a low profile budget pc to partially conceal.

kind of an oddly specific question but does anyone here have a mk23 and a glock 20?
Message permalink: 714872035251191970
i want to save up for a mk23 but i hear they're pretty chunky and my glock 20 is almost too big for my hands and i dont want to drop 2 grand on a pistol just for it to be too big lmao
Message permalink: 714872174154088448
https://safelifedefense.com/product/multi-threat-vest/ Got this bad boi as a concealable "edc" vest wish i could get it to form fit a little more, but I doubt anyone would notice as long as i dont have a thin shirt over top
Message permalink: 714872794521010217
@Bender I've got a 1:1 model of the mk23 and it's massive. Like you'll hear about how big it is, then you get your hands on one, and realize it's even bigger
Message permalink: 714878612700135434
Mk23 next to a g21c, and a g21 next to a g19
Message permalink: 714878712134238260
It's so big that people look at you at the range and go, holy fuck that's a big pistol
Message permalink: 714879766800498738
(No idea who that is, pulled the pic off of Google)
Message permalink: 714879914821681242
Shit. May as well just holster a damn AR9 at that point lol
Message permalink: 714883655092273164
That is a massive pistol
Message permalink: 714899362706227241
@Confused so if a g21 is almost too big for my hands, i assume a mk23 is going to definitely be too big?
Message permalink: 714903106982510592
The mk23 will make the g21 look like a toy
Message permalink: 714903217015750696
It's comically oversized. I'd suggest a usp instead, it was the replacement for the mk23
Message permalink: 714903424436797540
9mm USP expert is the only HK pistol that I would buy
Message permalink: 714903649372864514
They make plenty of great pistols. Their qc and over engineered construction blows most brands out of the water, though the designs are dated
Message permalink: 714904209346002956
>tfw no USP
Message permalink: 714904244905312308
Be careful though, it'll spoil you. Glocks feel like cheap garbage in comparison to most h&k pistols
Message permalink: 714904573835477052
Meh. I've only owned 2 pistols to date anyway. A fuckoff huge .44 mag Redhawk, which was a shitty choice for a first pistol, and a 92FS
Message permalink: 714904830820220938
The price is high though. There's no reason to get that kind of quality unless you really want it. Normal striker fired pistols are fine, and much better for concealed carry
Message permalink: 714905257385132123
Can't CCW anyway. It's more of just something I want. I don't have a pistol at the moment anyway, so might as well buy one that I want
Message permalink: 714905560406818909
USP's are nice. The trigger is fantastic and it's over engineered to the point where it's hard to kill it. I've only ever fired the usp 45 so I don't know what the 9 is like. More recoil than 9 but it's more of a gentle shove compared to a fast punch. Given ballistics and ammo cost, 9 is what I'd recommend unless you're looking to suppress it.
Message permalink: 714906264143921166
Nah. Can't suppress it either. I've been told both the 9mm and .40 versions are nice shooters
Message permalink: 714907972387602503
The trigger is fantastic

HK fanboi here, usp 45 was a brilliant gun to put rounds through... have a vp9 now and i adore it

The poors are at it again.
Message permalink: 714913397438677012

Bruh what is that evike . com looking scope XD
Message permalink: 714920833805582357
I think it's Pinty, a cheap chinese brand.
Message permalink: 714923394616918046
I don’t even know why people still buy that shit
Message permalink: 714927516292218902
With some of the prices of some half decent budget optics these days
Message permalink: 714927568091873291
$70 is sketchy even for a red dot but for that thing just wow
Message permalink: 714934936900993137
I actually like this
Message permalink: 714942561743142982
That's actually not bad. Looks like bubba took a woodworking class
Message permalink: 714946165925478572
I mean, if 7.62×39 wasn't a rock past 500 it would be awesome
Message permalink: 714957990721224724
7.62x39 would be awesome if it was a good round
Message permalink: 714962206529159320
You can get okay Red dots for 70 bucks actually.
Message permalink: 714971054262583358
TRS-25 and RDS-25 hold zero, and they're sub 100 dollar red dots. And I've even seen them take a beating.
Message permalink: 714971195518353459
Granted, I wouldn't put the same trust in them as I would an aimpoint. But if they are range guns, or extras, why not?
Message permalink: 714971310480031834
Hahaha, 7.62 is the poor man's 300 blackout.
Message permalink: 714971606988095488
I own a few TRS-25s and they do the job to a point, not going to knock them too bad but I fully believe they're the exception rather than the rule with sub $100 red dots
Message permalink: 714973385158950913
That's fair. I would say that TRS-25's and AT3 RD-50s are good value at a lower price. I wouldn't just go buy the first red dot off of amazon though
Message permalink: 714973702466306109
jerst as gerd
Message permalink: 714974020822630480
