I have seen a few bull pup sks online that look not bad sadly it illegal to turn a firearm into a bull pup. But I can go to the gun store and buy a tavor or a type 97 etc. Lol
And they usually go for about $8000 bucks unless you get the hunter version which is $3000 bucks then you have to find a RPK or Galil parts kits to make it look slick
@GRANITE I have replaced every aftermarket trigger I have in my Glocks back to factory with a - connector, I’m much more accurate with a consistent wall
I had swapped my magwell out for and AR15 magwell adapter on my SL8-4 because most AR15 mags are like $25 $30 bucks up here and G36 mags are like over $60 and like god damned unicorns to find sometimes
Personally I prefer regular DI ar's. They're lighter, less front heavy, and handle mud better. You have to clean them more, but all that gunk in a piston gun still has to be cleaned out, you're just cleaning it from a different area.

Hey I got some questions that I didnt think would be safe to discuss on the facebook groups, if this isn't the place for them either than is there anyone I can talk to about it. I'm wondering (for scientific reasons of course) about the reliability and use of swift links.
SL tldr. Adding junk into your fire control group (assuming you have a manufacturer's license mr fed boi) typically decreases your reliability significantly. Another downside is that it completely eliminates the capability to fire in semi autistic mode
Appreciate the info, I've looked into binary triggers before just haven't convinced myself to get one yet. anyone here run an echo sport 2 enough to judge the reliability of the trigger system itself ?
Haven't ran the sport. The regular one seems to work decently enough but you may need a heavier buffer. For some reason running a light buffer with it leads to light strikes, and it's a known issue. The trigger pull is also kinda weird, long. Fun, but a high end semi trigger will do you better if you're shooting seriously
I'm going to be prepping to participate in protests and other "events" we might find ourselves involved in. My plan is to not necessarily be on the Frontline, but to stand back and offer support for weapons repair and the such. Anyone have insight i could use on what I might need for a backpack portable gunsmiths kit?
Spare parts, Allen Keys, lubricants, and one of those AR multi tools, everything else a smith would need is either shop or vehicle mounted due to weight
Hey guys, what's the opinion on mk318? Seems expensive but im thinking about zeroing my 16" 1:7 twist with it. Was thinking m855 would be similar enough to practice with in order to save money at the range.

> Why aren't drum mags more popular? Is it a reliability thing?
@Potatoes O'Reilly its a combination of weight/size, ability to be stored effectively on person, and ofc reliability

I finally was able to get a BCM reece 16 itll be here Friday, and the question i have a glock 43 that just recently started short stroking I suppose, it start to chamber the next round but doesn't seem to have enough power to chamber it all the way. Would that just be the recoil spring or w.e being worn out?
I figured as much I just haven't been to concerned about it though bc it seems to be very picky with the speer gold dots i shoot and I have an FNS 9c so its really just a convenient little gun I wouldn't mind carrying
> Literally no offense, but if you’re asking those questions, you should get your learn on first
@Crye Salesman none taken. I've been working as a small arms and heavy weapon repair man for almost two years but have only done a little fidgeting with a mobile tool kit so I was looking for ideas to supplement my own.
Interesting take from SOTAR. No cerakote. Mostly has to do with guns that have cerakote sprayed on the inside for some reason. I wasn't aware it was common to spray it on working components and shit like feed ramps, which is obviously stupid.
Hey all. Came into possession of another AR lower and I'm looking for ideas on what to do with it. I already have a BCM 12.5" pistol, and an 18" SPR type rifle as my main rifle.
Open to a more team oriented build also (37mm underneath or something). Ideas?
Completely wrecks the tolerances when bubba doesn't mask the rifle properly though.
As for the rifle, best place to start is determining a goal for what you'd like to do, then build a rifle around that
