I highly rex comes the T.Rex arms side car. I carry a Roland special all day and it’s comfortable it’s also very fast and conceals very well. Light, comfortable, fast, concealment... what more could you want?

A holster that is designed by people that know what they’re doing, that’s what more I could want.

The sidecar has too much tension put on certain parts which causes it to eventually crack near the wing and in the center between the pistol and mag. The phlster flex is a better option

Tier 1 Concealed and LAS have good sidecar options that flex in the middle also. I agree with Phlster also

Sling recommendations for a 16" rifle. I have QD points on the stock itself as well as the buffer area, as well as 3 points along my seekins rail. Was looking at the Quake Claw sling.

Blueforce gear or ferro slingster are good to go

Typically two point slings are suggested. 3 point slings get tangled and single point slings let your rifle flop around and rack you

Remember when single point slings were the top tier meta

Get the padded one

Basically you adjust it so you have enough room to point while the handle is pulled out all the way. Then you can yank the handle in and pull it tight to your chest while slung. Uses gross motor skills so it's no problem under stress

Gross motor skills is dumb af. VTAC slings are great. If you’re running it over armor I recommend not getting the padded one.

Definitely not dumb. Fiddling with shit under stress is difficult even with training. Simple and easy to use is better. Also yeah, the padded one just helps with comfort if you're not wearing armor but can get in the way if you are

Things that are very fine motor skills: Aiming Trigger manipulation *simplified* shit is good, but shooting is pretty much entirely fine motor skills

Shooting is mostly gross motor skills with the exception of the trigger and safety. The safety is designed to be extremely easy to manipulate and naturally positioned for your thumb. The trigger, while requiring finger manipulation, is still relatively simple. It still took massive amounts of research into psychological conditioning to get people to reliability pull it under stress though. Between "trigger finger frostbite" as the Europeans called it, and the extreme human urge not to kill.

honestly i dont remember the brand or price but i might try them when i go tomorrow, i gotta get some 22 shorts to test on a little single shot bolt action with extraction issues

i heard it works better with shorts than longs and im gonna see if it actually does any better

its a little remington model 514 from the 50s

i dunno if its just real finnicky with ammor or its an actual extractor issue, suppose to have always been this way so i dunno if it just wasnt fitted right or the extractor is worn as shit

Given it’s age you might want to look at the extractor

They do wear down over the years

yeah i figured id try the shorts before i file or buy anything first, if the extractor was never properly fitted i could probably fix that with a small file or something

I think you figured out your problem there

it slips off the rim about halfway most of the time and sometimes it doesnt grab at all and rarely it actually works

If the extractor is a little misaligned it will have trouble with extracting
