Iâll take flak for saying it but S&w m&p sport is decently inexpensive. Armalite is alright for the $700ish price point. They wonât be operator tier shit, but theyâre probably acceptable for range and general fuckery

I'd suggest saving up about 800-1000 or so, then getting the trial subscription at big daddy unlimited. Buy your rifle or parts, then cancel before the end of the month
I think that general guideline ^^ clarifies a lot of âmartial artsâ
If youâre fighting people, youâre probably learning lessons about how people and fighting work.
If youâre learning Kataâs with no resistance and never apply them in a struggle, itâs a dance class
Kung Fu can be good, and definitely effective if you train enough, but like all things, testing things against each other shows you where their strengths and weaknesses are
There's a fascinating story about the first UFC, back before it was all just mma. You had people show up who were into taekwondo, sumo wrestling, bjj, savate, bare knuckle boxing, and many more
The taekwondo guy kicked the sumo wrestler in the face so hard that he had teeth embedded in his foot, so deep that they had to bandage over it so he could keep fighting
Bruce Lee is a great example. He started with tai chi and wing chun, both of which take much more work and physical conditioning to match someone with less experience in certain other martial arts, but make for excellent foundations.
Then he started learning other martial arts. From kempo to kickboxing, everything he could get his hands on. You can see over the years how his, and many others' styles have distilled into what works, leaving out all of the garbage.
The biggest issue with martial arts until around the 90s, which still exists today, is the mysticism that surrounds many styles and teachings. Practitioners wouldn't even consider fighting someone who trained in a foreign art because it wasn't even worth the time. Theirs was clearly better, and it would be insulting to try.
Today it's used as a workout "self defense" class, but it's actually intended to be a mixture of stuff that soldiers found worked from other martial arts on the poor fuckers who happened to be in their way when their magazine was empty.
Yeah my shaolin kungfu teacher mostly taught killing and immobilization techniques he only taught about competition techniques just to get more students
Wish I could afford to take some more bjj. I grew up learning from a few professional mma fighters, no one big though. Hopped around different classes at different places to get pretty decent at a bit of everything. BJJ showed me that I wasn't shit though. Better than the white belts, but that's it, I'd get my ass handed to me by everyone else.
Oh that reminds me. Fantastic book to read

Long ago when Iâd worked at this county jail a couple came in bath salts. The woman stuck her fist up her ass, made her self bleed/shit on it, then stuck it up her cooch. The man stretched his penis past the point of no return and played it like a 1 string guitar. Both complained about their genitals hurting the next morning when they sobered up.
Should evaluate whether you need those pants etc. based on your mission. Are we talking camo? Will camo get you shot at by police? Or are you hiding from deer?
