Well the way I look at it for lower parts, youā€™ve got 3 levels. Parts that are meh. (Strike industries, Anderson, whatever) Parts that are *correct* (colt, geiselle, bcm, etc) Parts that are *optimized* (FCD, etc)

Strike makes shitty anodized aluminum parts that often try to solve problems that don't exist, or solve them poorly. I actually used to like them, granted I didn't use anything really structural for them and never their pistol stuff.

The geissele lower parts kit is nice. They use stainless stuff where other companies just use easily corroded pot metal and brass. Most of it is plain milspec except for in their ultra parts kit, which comes with a fancy trigger guard and a maritime bolt catch I think. The trigger guard just looks nice but the maritime bolt catch makes it a lot easier to drop the bolt in weird conditions, like with gloves on in the middle of night when you can't even see it

I'd probably say if you've never used one, just go with all quality milspec parts except for the handguard/rail, stock, and trigger guard. Maybe a nicer trigger and charging handle since they make training go a lot smoother.
