There's debates as to if shelf life for ceramic armor even matters. Kevlar degrades, but supposedly as long as ceramic plates pass the tap and flex tests, they're fine

I have shot a few "surplus" vests and found they were still good. Northern Ireland Level 4 surplus armour was actually very good for 556 and 7.62×39 and ×51

From what I've read a lot of the expiry dates on armour especially hard plate is to absolve the manufacturer for it failing to do as it was designed to

When my tax refund clears, I'm probably gonna go for the rail and the lower since they've been selling out fast. For whatever reason, JP bcg's seem to be a lesser known thing despite being so good. Chad from SOTAR said that the only bolts that he's never seen fail were the LMT enhanced bolt, KAC sr15, and "believe it or not" JP bolts
