There's debates as to if shelf life for ceramic armor even matters. Kevlar degrades, but supposedly as long as ceramic plates pass the tap and flex tests, they're fine

I have seen tests done on 10+ years old vests and they still stopped what they were graded for

I have shot a few "surplus" vests and found they were still good. Northern Ireland Level 4 surplus armour was actually very good for 556 and 7.62×39 and ×51

From what I've read a lot of the expiry dates on armour especially hard plate is to absolve the manufacturer for it failing to do as it was designed to

Same with some food stuffs the expiration date was to cover the manufacturer's ass more than to let you know if the food has spoiled

I miiight look into a modlight on an arisaka mount because I don't know if the OWL would interfere with an offset aimpoint. If it would, then I might even consider mounting the flashlight upside down on the right side

Also I made it in google sheets. Basically listed everything out, had one column formatted for money, and another column full of check boxes. Then I selected each area, hit color fill, and selected alternating colors.

The one thing that drew my attention to the owl was because it's closer to one solid piece. I really like arisaka mounts though
