Inspection of the tolerances of their bcg. Judging by the quality, it's reasonable to assume that the rest of their rifle is probably serviceable.

I won't really criticize the rifle in the video because some of the components have been recalled.

Thats fine but over all you can look up reviews and there is a large ammount of them saying that they arent as good as they used to be

I'd like so see the input of someone here who have used one, as I haven't had a chance to inspect one. idk if crye has or not but I respect their opinion. I've only managed to find a couple of people online with issues, most of which deal with recalled parts or just not cleaning their rifle then wondering why it won't cycle.

BCM is known for being a little overgassed. Should cycle anything you throw in there, though I don't suggest steel case in any AR platform for a variety of reasons

or if you build one with a good adjustable gas block like SLR, you can gas it properly yourself

yes steel is not my first thing i want to run in my ar but its like .23 cpr right now so i said o well i would rather train with shitty ammo a lot then train a little with nice ammo

While the price of cheaper steel case will probably offset the cost of the severely decreased barrel life, there is the issue with stuck cases. Often times they can get lodged in there so hard you'll have to take it to a gunsmith to get it out.

Over gassing a rifle definitely causes reliability problems. It can cause issues with ejection, bolt hold open, and chambering the next round at the least

Also blows more gunk into your receiver and requires more lubrication

It depends on the platform like an ak has a shark claw that will just sent it in to the next zip code

And yes gunk does get blown in more

But if you look at like the hk g3 or mp5 it even more different

The bolt on an AR is intended to move at a certain speed. Any faster and it can blow past the bolt catch or fail to strip a new round off of the magazine

Since what happens is gas going down the tube into the gas key unlocks the bolt, allowing the chamber pressure to send the carrier back. If it unlocks too soon, there's too much pressure and it slams it open way too fast. A bandaid is putting a heavier buffer in there, but that causes other issues. The correct way is to either have a properly sized gas port, or properly adjusted gas block.

So on the subject of good holsters from the other day. Idk how some one shot themself with an aliengear holster when the trigger can’t be accessed at all while holstered

It’s a hybrid holster

The back side leather deforms into the trigger guard and activates the trigger during Holstering

And also hybrid holsters aren’t comfortable and don’t conceal well, because they ignore physics and material limitations

All I’m saying is I don’t see how they did it. Not that I’m defending the holster

aliengear holsters flex inwards when holstering, which catches the trigger and ND's. Yeah, even the ones with metal inserts.
