DD was good in 2008 Only thing of value now is their barrels If you're a cloner then their RIS II rails are good

Any reason I shouldnât get a Sig 716?
Message permalink: 719303403519344732
And what was that video supposed to prove
Message permalink: 719303512470585374
They still dont do good qc

What doesnât?

DD?
Message permalink: 719303703697424384
Inspection of the tolerances of their bcg. Judging by the quality, it's reasonable to assume that the rest of their rifle is probably serviceable.
Message permalink: 719304422995394645
I won't really criticize the rifle in the video because some of the components have been recalled.
Message permalink: 719305039637905528
Thats fine but over all you can look up reviews and there is a large ammount of them saying that they arent as good as they used to be
Message permalink: 719305697589723206
Do you know when that rifle was made
Message permalink: 719305773619871831
Yea but current reviews from people that do it for a living nit just joe down the stree
Message permalink: 719308888163221546
I'd like so see the input of someone here who have used one, as I haven't had a chance to inspect one. idk if crye has or not but I respect their opinion. I've only managed to find a couple of people online with issues, most of which deal with recalled parts or just not cleaning their rifle then wondering why it won't cycle.
Message permalink: 719309198936244284
thats fair
Message permalink: 719309375973621801
Regardless of their quality control, they're not a brand I buy. I just don't want to give them money.
Message permalink: 719309467249934397
i would not give them my money as well
Message permalink: 719310499765944420
It's really weird how many gun companies out there are anti 2a

benchmade
Message permalink: 719311084900581397
Yeah that was a shame. I have one of their knives I got as a gift, and I really like it. Definitely not getting rid of it considering I already have it and it was a gift but yeah
Message permalink: 719312028757524490
Lol @Mechromansir ak operators union goes under the âjoe down the streetâ category, as you put it. I donât personally buy DD stuff, but your sources are pretty wack, especially compared to a SOTAR physical
Message permalink: 719312723212501072
@Vøødøø for what do you need a sig 716
Message permalink: 719312838883016754
he puts it thought a test that any gun should be able to pass
Message permalink: 719312901864816640
the psak passed it with less trouble
Message permalink: 719312952536072242
all i am saying
Message permalink: 719312978515722331
I have a 5.56 and had looked for a 308 rifle for years and I liked shooting the 716 better than any 308 Iâve ever shot befor e
Message permalink: 719313107964657764
Guns are Specâd a certain way, for a certain reason. >implying PSA doesnât pay people to give them good reviews
Message permalink: 719313148888350720
Iâm sure it will be fine then @Vøødøø
Message permalink: 719313242513735713
i mean that has the implications that he would take that money
Message permalink: 719313466124533810
Idk robski just kinda thrashes guns until they stop working. I don't really think he'd take money from psa
Message permalink: 719313528711938079
or that he didnt trash the gf2 they made
Message permalink: 719313533900423260
and every problem he had with the gf3 he pointed out
Message permalink: 719313611004182548
đ¤ˇđťââď¸ Iâm not here to trash peoples reputations. But YouTube is *generally* not the best place to learn about guns, with some exceptions
Message permalink: 719313776041656370
ya and imo robski kinda just does a really basic testing that any competent gun should pass easy
Message permalink: 719314006988554411
Hmmmmm almost like some guns are specâd differently than others for specific reasons lmao
Message permalink: 719314984114454558
yes if you build a gun with in specs it should function well
Message permalink: 719315327732678706
what are you trying to imply
Message permalink: 719315372024659988
that psa gives him cream of the crop or what
Message permalink: 719315486373969980
lol psa can have comically oversized gas ports
Message permalink: 719316183693918289
or you can drill it out your self
Message permalink: 719316223934070875
also my friends pws ar does fine and my bcm does fine
Message permalink: 719316292003299368
BCM is known for being a little overgassed. Should cycle anything you throw in there, though I don't suggest steel case in any AR platform for a variety of reasons
Message permalink: 719322808731304046
or if you build one with a good adjustable gas block like SLR, you can gas it properly yourself
Message permalink: 719322919398015006
yes steel is not my first thing i want to run in my ar but its like .23 cpr right now so i said o well i would rather train with shitty ammo a lot then train a little with nice ammo
Message permalink: 719324055060348969
While the price of cheaper steel case will probably offset the cost of the severely decreased barrel life, there is the issue with stuck cases. Often times they can get lodged in there so hard you'll have to take it to a gunsmith to get it out.
Message permalink: 719324670494769273
idk i have just got 1k rounds i will let you know when i have issues
Message permalink: 719325208581898372
and i have been shooting steel in my glock and its been fine
Message permalink: 719325310872715324
Just be extra diligent on cleaning. Stuck cases get worse the more carbon buildup there is
Message permalink: 719326329178292225
thats easy enough
Message permalink: 719326504533622885
You mean overgassing
Message permalink: 719334283919228968
@Potatoes O'Reilly
Message permalink: 719334324431880335
It adds premature ware to parts causing the gun to beat its self to death and adds recoil
Message permalink: 719334801919836221
That, and It also decreases reliability
Message permalink: 719341977404964914
Eh it kinda depends
Message permalink: 719344915318046740
Longetivity more like it
Message permalink: 719344984410685481
No, overgassing wil absolutely cause malfunctions lol
Message permalink: 719352060117778432
Over gassing a rifle definitely causes reliability problems. It can cause issues with ejection, bolt hold open, and chambering the next round at the least
Message permalink: 719352129344766033
Also blows more gunk into your receiver and requires more lubrication
Message permalink: 719352398950170632
It depends on the platform like an ak has a shark claw that will just sent it in to the next zip code
Message permalink: 719355890561581146
And yes gunk does get blown in more
Message permalink: 719356020899446834
But if you look at like the hk g3 or mp5 it even more different
Message permalink: 719356204568150138
The bolt on an AR is intended to move at a certain speed. Any faster and it can blow past the bolt catch or fail to strip a new round off of the magazine
Message permalink: 719356259249291264
Ya i can see that
Message permalink: 719356349200465951
Since what happens is gas going down the tube into the gas key unlocks the bolt, allowing the chamber pressure to send the carrier back. If it unlocks too soon, there's too much pressure and it slams it open way too fast. A bandaid is putting a heavier buffer in there, but that causes other issues. The correct way is to either have a properly sized gas port, or properly adjusted gas block.
Message permalink: 719356708744593438
Ya dwell time is important
Message permalink: 719357275109720137
So on the subject of good holsters from the other day. Idk how some one shot themself with an aliengear holster when the trigger canât be accessed at all while holstered
Message permalink: 719359126441951333
*bruh*
Message permalink: 719359213838532700
Itâs a hybrid holster
Message permalink: 719359268288987157
The back side leather deforms into the trigger guard and activates the trigger during Holstering
Message permalink: 719359374883160094
And also hybrid holsters arenât comfortable and donât conceal well, because they ignore physics and material limitations
Message permalink: 719359491564634112
Message permalink: 719359666597003304
All Iâm saying is I donât see how they did it. Not that Iâm defending the holster
Message permalink: 719359696636739594
Oh hey, I got one of those, they're actually comfy, but way too damn thick.
Message permalink: 719359775300780044
Ah. You have a new gen one. That is *slightly* safer, and worse in all of the other ways lol
Message permalink: 719359886307229706
Will agree, they do suck. Hahaha, but they are reasonably comfortable in my opinion.
Message permalink: 719360080373350421
*laughs in appendix G34/X300U*
Message permalink: 719360223357304834

Message permalink: 719360728741707806
@TacticalBeard those ones are at least somewhat safe. The older gen had no real trigger guard
Message permalink: 719360802456600647
aliengear holsters flex inwards when holstering, which catches the trigger and ND's. Yeah, even the ones with metal inserts.
Message permalink: 719360906425008179
This particular one is from a glock in a shapeshifter holster
Message permalink: 719361196188500059
